More Exterior Work

Installation of exterior trim an siding has started. I'm not sure what the new exterior color will be...

But the trim color will be white.

Next year (after I win the lottery), I'll have new siding/trim installed on the other three sides of the house.

Exterior Work - New Steps

I'm finally getting around to posting pix of the completed front steps.
Butch will come back at a later date to build a planter in the "gap" created by the turn in the stairs.

How Do You Keep a Cat In a Room Without a Handle?

Based on the previous adventures of the feline residents of Creek Park Drive, all readers now know that CATS MUST BE SEQUESTERED DURING CONSTRUCTION!

Q: How do you keep a cat in a room with a new door that does not yet have a door handle?
A: You improvise and fashion a door closing device using one of Lucy's dog toys, a piece of string and a tin of kitty litter. Brilliant.

Cabinets are taped up and ready for paint.

Three colors: light green in the dining room, medium green in the kitchen and "baguette" (NOT BUILDERS BEIGE) everywhere else.

Cabinets Are Here!

Installation of the cabinets is almost complete!

Trim still needs to be added. And, countertops too.
The granite guy will measure later this week, then install next week. Appliances get delivered and installed after that, then the floors will be stained and sealed. Whew! You'd think I was doing the work myself. Everyone here (me, the cats, the dog) are ready for this project to be DONE.

The cabinets are a cherry color, and have a simple (Shaker) design.
