Floors & Doors

Well, maybe just doors....

It seems that forgot to take a picture of the floors during that brief window of time between sealing the floors with polyuthethane and then covering up with brown paper for painting. Rest assured: they are beautiful.

All interior doors are stained, sealed and up again, and hardware is installed.

Once a I get a few more nickels in my pocket (Gary Knight of Knight Construction has now sucked every last nickel out of every financial pocket I've got... all that's left is lint), I'll replace all the light switches to match the door handles. Sweet.

Posting Blogs is Such a Pain in the A**

Mainly due to the fact that once I download photos from my camera to my computer, it takes me FOREVER to then find said photos in whatever mysterious file they've been deposited into.

The fact that I haven't been able to figure out how to sort, file and/or label any of my 1000+ plus photos (I actually photograph subject matter beyond home construction) makes this task even more onerous.

I'm on a Mac, so isn't it supposed to be intuitive and easy?
Why isn't it????
Surely, it can't be me and my over-40 brain?

FINALLY

The hardware and granite counter tops are FINALLY installed.

New Railing & Balustrade

New baluster - freshly installed!

New balustrade with railings.
It was hard to find something that I liked (and could afford), as most iron railing selections tend to have too many flourishes for my taste.

Interior Doors are Delivered!

New interterior doors are delivered and in the process of being stained/sealed.
They just lined them up and sprayed away (after first covering EVERY possible surface that might get hit). It's true what they say: painting is the easy part; it's the prep work that's hard.
